Thierry Henry surpassed Ian Wright as Arsenal’s all-time record goalscorer and made his long-awaited comeback in style as he scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Sparta Prague.The Frenchman was introduced for the injured Jose Antonio Reyes in the first-half,and didn’t take long to make an impact,scoring a sensational goal with the outside of his foot on 21 minutes.He made sure of the points on 74 minutes with his 186th goal for Arsenal,one more than Wright.
Bayern Munich handed Juventus their first defeat of the season as they beat the Italian champions 2-1 in Group A.Sebastien Deisler and Martin Demichelis did the damage,with Zlatan Ibrahimovic scoring late for Juve. |
