Arsenal have completed the loan signing of 19-year-old midfield player Alexandre Song from Bastia.According to Bastia,the two clubs have also agreed a transfer fee of £2.7 million (€4m) should Arsenal decide to make the move permanent.Arsenal have been rumoured to have spent only £344,000 (€500,000) to loan the player for the year from the Corsican club.
Song,the nephew of former Liverpool player Rigobert Song,has featured for the Arsenal team in some of the pre-season matches in Austria,and has impressed with his displays in midfield.He will provide some cover for the central midfield trio of Cesc Fabregas,Mathieu Flamini and the experienced Gilberto.
